MOTHER. ARTIST. PHOTOGRAPHER

An immigrant from Guyana, Michelle learned the importance of working hard, getting a good education, and never giving up on your dreams. Her father is a leather craft artist that started in Guyana making leather products by hand, and carving out beautiful designs. Michelle decided to follow in his footsteps and pursue her dreams of creating art, by majoring in the Visual Communications: Arts and Design program at Farmingdale State College. In college Michelle stood out from the rest of her class because of her holistic view of the arts, in the way she arranged her projects to make them look gestalt. In Photography she was a natural, from being a stylist, to being a team player, and a leader. In addition, Michelle is an athlete, playing on the school's Division 3 tennis team, and helping propel the team to three straight Conference Championships.  Michelle is proactive, hard-working, and does not take no for an answer.
